Ever have a product that left you baffled? I personally dislike reading reviews on a product which I am testing because I don't want to be influenced by others but what can you do when you are left almost clueless?
I turned to trusty old Google for some clues and unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you see it, there were barely any reviews on this product. All I know was this is meant to soothe tired limbs and helps with water retention and swelling. Reading the pamphlet that came with it, it's suggested to apply this tonic before physical activity.
That was the story between me and Dr. Hauschka Revitalising Leg & Arm Tonic*. And I almost gave up on it until an unfortunate thing happened to me.
A couple of weeks ago, I hurt my right wrist (don't ask me how cause I have no blipping idea) and it swelled up a little. It got worse after I finished my yoga session which I stubbornly (read stupidly) did the crow pose and my wrist started hurting so bad to the point I couldn't even type.
That night I decided to apply this tonic on my wrist and when I woke up the next morning, the swelling has gone down and the pain was gone. I initially thought the tonic only numbed the hurt but the pain and swelling never returned the whole day. Since that day, I started applying this tonic whenever my arms or legs are sore after yoga and it definitely helped a lot.
The texture of this tonic is like water however it absorbs really fast, almost like it evaporates into air within a few second of massaging it into the skin. And the scent...oh what can I say about the scent. It has a very luxurious spa like scent so unlike other over the counter medications to reduce swelling, you won't be walking around smelling like a medicine cabinet. Yes, I'm looking at you, Yoko Yoko.
I know at the price of CAD38.00, this bottle is not cheap however you do get 100mL of this good stuff and a little goes a long way. I have been using it on myself and hubby when he is sore from his TRX classes and I barely made a dent in it. This bottle will easily last me more than a year and maybe more.
