It took me a long time to consider whether I should do this tag or not, mainly because I mostly use drugstore makeup instead of high-end but after months and months of seeing this tag circling the blogsphere, I thought 'why not?'.
So today I will play pretend that I am heading to a grand event and would like to invite my most expensive face with me. I hope you lovelies enjoy this short-ish post and if you did a similar post as this before then please leave the link in the comments section as I would love to read it!
Also, look out for the budget friendly version of this post coming up next week which would be a collab with a gorgeous blogger! Super excited for it!
Let me start by saying, until the creation of this post, I had no idea that I actually use this many products. And I wonder why it takes me a minimum of 45 minutes to complete my makeup....
Anyway, I use two different primers because Hourglass helps to cover my pores and prolong my makeup and I apply Becca on the high points of my cheeks and the bridge of my nose for the extra glow.
Sorry for the bad lighting in both pictures, I swear the weather has been less than cooperative recently. Right when I was in desperate need to take these pictures, it was really cloudy and gloomy but later in the day when there was no photography needing to be done, the sun was shining bright. Absolute wank.
Soooo...my high-end face totals to a $CAD663.94....to which Mr. Platt said we need to sit down and have a discussion.
I was lucky to receive some of the products through blogging and yes, I know in reality it's not that much because I will use each product for at least a year or more so I should divide the amount by times used, how much amount used each time but I'm still taken aback by the total sum.
Still, it doesn't stop me from wanting to buy that oh so pretty Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette.
Now excuse me while I go and have a discussion with Mr. Platt...I believe I just heard him said 'holy f*ck woman, that's a lot of dollar signs!'
