We're well into Summer and I have a confession to make, I am actually enjoying it this year. The temperature this Summer has been in between a very comfortable low to mid 20s with some rainy days.
There has been no crazy heatwave that we experienced last year, knock on wood. That said, I probably just jinxed myself by saying that...
Despite the lack of heat this Summer, that doesn't translate to lack of sun protection. On the contrary, I have somehow become a little obsessed with sun protection. Currently I have three sunscreens in rotation, Little Tyke is slathered head to toe in one whenever he's out and about and hubby will whine, groan and mutter under his breath whenever I make him apply some. Actually he makes me apply it on him as his last act of defiance...it's his way of saying "you want me to wear sunscreen so much then you do the work!" or for the lack of a better phrase, it's a subtle middle finger to me and my sunscreen obsession.
Today I'll be sharing the two latest additions to my sun protection stash; I was kindly sent Coppertone Clearly Sheer Spray for Body SPF 30* (check here) to test and received Coppertone Clearly Sheer Lotion for Face SPF30 (check here) in one of my beauty subscriptions.

I have been really loving body sunscreen in a spray packaging. I find it to be way more convenient than the usual lotion form and it makes application very quick and super easy. Coppertone Clearly Sheer Spray for Body SPF 30* comes in an aerosol can and has a great nozzle as it sprays a fine mist and I don't get splatters of sunscreen everywhere. The mist is actually fine enough for me to spray it on my face, I just have to place the can at arm's length. No, it's NOT RECOMMENDED to do so but I did for the sake of testing and ahem, laziness.
Coppertone Clearly Sheer Lotion for Face SPF30 comes in an hourglass shaped plastic bottle with a pump. I really like the pump as it's easy to dispense the right amount that I need which is usually one and a half. I usually have problems with dispensing half a pump but not with this.
I'm not going to beat around the bush and let you know that I absolutely love both sunscreens! Coppertone Clearly Sheer Spray for Body SPF 30* smells like pina colada and every time I use it, I'm instantly transported to the beach, laying in the sun with a cold glass of pina colada in my hand...or maybe two. I don't mind double fisting pina coladas.
The sunscreen not only smells delicious but it's also very light and comfortable on the skin. It doesn't leave any residue and my skin doesn't feel sticky at all. Frankly, I don't feel like I'm wearing a sunscreen.
Coppertone Clearly Sheer Lotion for Face SPF30 is fast becoming my favourite sunscreen! It's a very light lotion and absorbs quickly. It has a very faint sunscreen scent so if you're not a fan of sunscreen smell then I highly recommend checking this out. There is no greasiness with this on the contrary, it actually dries down almost instantly. I easily apply my makeup within a minute of applying it and it doesn't move my makeup at all. Bonus? I tried taking pictures with it and there's no white cast.
I am seriously happy with both Coppertone products and I will be repurchasing both for a long time.
Clearly Sheer range is available at mass, drug and grocery retailers across Canada as of March 2016 and retailing for CAD$8.49 - CAD$9.99.
