The beauty world is so oversaturated with brands and products these days that I think many brands are overlooked. I personally am guilty of knowing brands that are very active with PR mailing. Well, to be honest, it's hard not to know certain brands when they are all I see on blogs, YouTube and Instagram.
Reversa is a local Canadian skincare brand that has been around since 1986 but other than seeing it sold in my local drugstores, I don't really see it mentioned on social media. That said, I do think it's a brand that has a strong cult following and a few of my close friends swear by the products.
Recently I was kindly sent two products to try, the Hydra-Mineral Concentrate and the one I am most excited about, Retin[A]list Cream which contains 0.3% pure retinol and hyaluronic acid. I have been testing both since early February and today I will be sharing my thoughts on Hydra-Mineral Concentrate. I will share my review on Retin[A]list Cream in the upcoming week because each product truly deserves a post on its own.
Initially, I was quite nonchalant about Hydra-Mineral Concentrate as I didn't see it as a necessary product in my routine but ermagawddd, this is such a brilliant skin-quenching product. A quick look at its ingredient list reveals some fabulous stuff.
WATER/EAU, PROPANEDIOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, SEA SILT EXTRACT/EXTRAIT DE LIMON MARIN, COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) WATER, YEAST EXTRACT/EXTRAIT DE LEVURE, GLYCERIN, MALACHITE EXTRACT, PANTHENOL, ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER WATER, HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID, SODIUM HYALURONATE, ARGININE, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, XANTHAN GUM, AMORPHOPHALLUS KONJAC ROOT EXTRACT, CITRIC ACID, PHENOXYETHANOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, NATURAL FRAGRANCE/PARFUM NATUREL.
Yes, it contains fragrance but it's at the very end of the list and thankfully, my skin is not sensitive to it. It's obvious that Reversa put a lot of thought into this product; I find it to be fabulous both on packaging and formulation.
This hydrating serum comes in a heavy glass bottle with a pump and the texture is a lightweight gel that absorbs quickly without any tackiness or residue. It layers well with all my other skincare, doesn't cause any pilling which is a huge bonus.
I use it once a day, two pumps each time and it's great for both my day and night routine. It's beautiful under makeup, doesn't cause my foundation to move and in the evenings it layers beautifully with lotion, cream and oils.

This serum was truly heaven sent especially this Winter and I credit it as to why I have zero dry spots on my skin. It truly hydrates, plumps and smoothes out my skin and I noticed a huge difference in my skin's luminosity when I skip using it for a week.
Verdict: Buy! It's CA$42.00/50mL which leans more on a reasonable side and I will definitely repurchase after I am done with this bottle.
